Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of neem leaf (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) powder dose on the development of the storage pest Callosobruchus analis F. infesting black soybean cv. Detam 4 Prida, and to determine the dose that most effectively suppresses pest development during storage. Using a Completely Randomized Design with six dose treatments (A = 0, B = 3, C = 6, D = 9, E = 12, F = 15 g neem powder/100 g seed) and four replications. The results showed that neem leaf powder significantly affected imago mortality, egg, larva, pupa and imago numbers, seed damage, and weight loss. The 15 g dose (treatment F) produced the highest imago mortality (100% at 15 days after application), the lowest egg, larva, pupa and imago counts, and the lowest percentages of seed damage (1.58%) and weight loss (1.24%)
